Lucas was hired as an Articling Student at Hummingbird Lawyers LLP after completing a summer internship at the firm in 2024. Lucas recently graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (LL.M). Before attending the University of Toronto, Lucas obtained his LL.B. from the City, University of London in London, England, where he graduated with a First Class Honours. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University, where he majored in Psychology. During law school, Lucas volunteered with the City Community Legal Advice Centre, competed in the Senior Moot Competition, and was the Finance Officer of the Canadian and American Law Society. He was a Programme Representative during both years of his LL.B. and was nominated by the faculty in 2023 for the City Law School Programme Rep of the Year. Lucas continued his community involvement at the University of Toronto, where he acted as the Treasurer for the Graduate Law Students’ Association and was a member of the Graduate Law Career Advisory Group, a group dedicated to helping shape career services for graduate law students. In his spare time, Lucas enjoys snowboarding, camping, travelling, playing chess, and cheering for the Maple Leafs.
