Azra Manori is an Associate at Hummingbird Lawyers with a specialization in Entertainment, also practicing in the areas of Corporate/Commercial and Real Estate.
In her Entertainment Law practice, Azra represents a myriad of clients including artists, their managers and agents, production companies/independent producers, content creators and other entertainment professionals and firms. Azra offers a variety of legal services in support of idea conception, rights acquisitions and development (from initial licensing through to distribution). With her own personal entertainment background in California and Toronto, Azra has a genuine passion for safeguarding the rights and interests of fellow creatives.
As a value add, Azra is able to leverage her transferable skillset from her other practices areas (business and real estate) to offer a comprehensive approach to assisting clients with their other legal issues, such as corporate organization, mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sale transactions, leasing, and financings.
Azra is committed to philanthropic efforts to the Entertainment industry and volunteers with the Ethnically Diverse Artist (EDA) Foundation – a non-profit organization founded by actor Mena Massoud (fellow POC creative) that supports inclusivity and diversity in the industry. In addition, she remains involved in numerous independent film projects as an Executive and Associate Producer in order to further her practical knowledge of the industry and thus, be able to better support the needs of her clients.
